Among the breast imaging examinations are mammograms, ultrasound and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). The examination was conducted at the Radiology Department. More information on mammograms can be found in the FAQ / FAQ column.

Apart from breast imaging examination, the Department of Radiology also conducts tissue biopsy procedures using ultrasound (ultrasound-guided biopsy), mammography (stereotactic biopsy) and MRI (MRI-guided biopsy). The Radiology Department, Hospital USM has the latest breast imaging equipment such as 3D tomosynthesis mammography and prone table stereotactic biopsy.

With this advanced technology, we hope that breast cancer detection can be done more efficiently when cancer is at its lowest level.
